Grand Theft Auto VI arrives on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Until then this page counts down and watches the console networks the game will depend on. From launch day it becomes a live outage tracker.

Rockstar launches have a pattern. GTA Online was effectively unplayable for the better part of a week in 2013, and Red Dead Online had a rough opening in 2018. The cause is rarely the game itself: it is millions of simultaneous logins hitting authentication and matchmaking at once, on top of console networks already straining under a day-one download measured in scores of gigabytes.
That makes two separate questions worth separating on the day. Is the platform network healthy, and is the game’s own service healthy? A PlayStation Network authentication problem looks identical from your sofa to a Rockstar matchmaking problem, but the fix and the wait are different. This page tracks them apart.
We read each operator’s own published status feed rather than counting user complaints. That means this page tells you what Sony, Microsoft and Rockstar are themselves acknowledging, with the time we last checked printed on the page. It is deliberately a narrower claim than a crowd-sourced outage map, and a more reliable one.
19 November 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar moved it twice — from a 2025 window to May 2026, then to November — and the current date has held since that announcement.
Not at launch. Rockstar has announced no PC version and no date. Going by Grand Theft Auto V's roughly eighteen-month gap and Red Dead Redemption 2's thirteen, a PC release would realistically land in late 2027 or 2028.
No. The game is built for current-generation consoles only — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Last-generation machines are not supported, and Rockstar has not suggested that will change.
History says expect trouble. GTA Online's launch in 2013 was unusable for days, and Red Dead Online stumbled in 2018. A launch-day crush is normal rather than surprising, and it usually settles within the first week.
Live status for the console networks the game depends on, plus Rockstar's own services once their launch-day endpoints are published, each with the time it was checked.
